Category Docs & Rendering Added 2026-11-08

Breaks a STEM textbook into a four-level card map (book, chapter, section, knowledge point) in a sidebar panel, where each point names the defect of the previous approach it fixes and each chapter keeps its remaining gap as the motive for the next; marks key points with a star, shows theorems as cards with statement, conditions and symbol table, folds step-by-step derivations, and exports the same map as a self-contained offline HTML file, Word or PDF. Ships a textbook-parser skill and a textbook_archive tool (save_book / save_chapter / list_books / get_book / delete_book) plus a bundled 12-chapter Signals and Systems sample with 116 sections, 263 points and 601 worked examples. No runtime dependencies and no network access.

Install

# from GitHub (first run asks for allowBuilds approval — follow the hint, retry)

dsh plugin --profile web add github:teanuky/dsh-textbook-parser

Any plugin you install runs third-party code with your own permissions — it can read your files, use your credentials, and reach the network, and tool approvals don’t sandbox it. GitHub-sourced plugins also run build scripts at install time — pnpm blocks those until you allow them, so an install can stop with ERR_PNPM_GIT_DEP_PREPARE_NOT_ALLOWED or ERR_PNPM_IGNORED_BUILDS; dsh prints the exact key to add under allowBuilds in your profile’s pnpm-workspace.yaml, and the install works on the next run. Allowing a build is a trust decision: only install sources you trust, and pin a commit (github:owner/repo#sha).
