IP/domain intelligence for DeepSeek Harness: ip_lookup, dns_lookup and whois_lookup tools via free no-key APIs (ipwho.is, Google DNS-over-HTTPS, RDAP).

Install

# from GitHub (first run asks for allowBuilds approval — follow the hint, retry)

dsh plugin --profile web add github:WODE25500/dsh-ip-info

Any plugin you install runs third-party code with your own permissions — it can read your files, use your credentials, and reach the network, and tool approvals don’t sandbox it. GitHub-sourced plugins also run build scripts at install time — pnpm blocks those until you allow them, so an install can stop with ERR_PNPM_GIT_DEP_PREPARE_NOT_ALLOWED or ERR_PNPM_IGNORED_BUILDS; dsh prints the exact key to add under allowBuilds in your profile’s pnpm-workspace.yaml, and the install works on the next run. Allowing a build is a trust decision: only install sources you trust, and pin a commit (github:owner/repo#sha).

README

IP/domain intelligence for DeepSeek Harness — geolocation, ISP/ASN, DNS, whois. Free, no API key.

Three agent tools over free public APIs. No key, no config — just call them.

Tools

Tool What it does Backed by
ip_lookup IP/host → country, city, ISP, org, ASN, timezone ipwho.is
dns_lookup A / AAAA / MX / TXT / CNAME / NS / SOA records Google DNS-over-HTTPS
whois_lookup registrar, status, created/expiry dates, name servers RDAP

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-ip-info

Then the tools appear in the agent toolset. No API key, no configuration.

Usage

ip_lookup(ip: "8.8.8.8")
dns_lookup(host: "github.com", type: "A")
whois_lookup(domain: "example.com")

Useful for network debugging, infrastructure work, and security analysis — the agent can tell you where an IP is, whose ASN it belongs to, what a domain resolves to, and who registered it.
