Appends one short user message before the next step when the model is circling: the same absolute path written three times, the same normalised tool error returned twice, or two steps since the last write with neither a verify nor a search. Verification is recognised from four tool names (`ops_bash`, `lsp_diagnostics`, `verify`, `run_tests`), searching from eight. Each signal fires once per turn and only after a new write or error, is silenced for the whole turn when you say not to search, and is skipped in subagent sessions. Ships the `stuck-gate` skill at bundled rank 600, so a user-level copy at rank 400 overrides its wording without touching code, plus a read-only gain panel at `/better-debug` that counts firings, sessions covered and whether the next tool call changed class; it does not estimate tokens saved.

Install

# from a prebuilt release tarball

dsh plugin --profile web add "https://github.com/Leonlee114514/dsh-better-debug/releases/download/v0.1.1/dsh-better-debug-0.1.1.tgz"

# from GitHub (first run asks for allowBuilds approval — follow the hint, retry)

dsh plugin --profile web add github:Leonlee114514/dsh-better-debug

Any plugin you install runs third-party code with your own permissions — it can read your files, use your credentials, and reach the network, and tool approvals don’t sandbox it. GitHub-sourced plugins also run build scripts at install time — pnpm blocks those until you allow them, so an install can stop with ERR_PNPM_GIT_DEP_PREPARE_NOT_ALLOWED or ERR_PNPM_IGNORED_BUILDS; dsh prints the exact key to add under allowBuilds in your profile’s pnpm-workspace.yaml, and the install works on the next run. Allowing a build is a trust decision: only install sources you trust, and pin a commit (github:owner/repo#sha).
