DeveloperYe/dsh-doyourweb-remote

Category Browser & Web Added 2026-11-08

Fork of SheepofSheep/dsh-doyourweb that puts the browser on another machine: the MV3 extension dials out to this plugin over TLS, so DSH reads and acts on a remote Chrome or Edge rather than a local one. It also generates ready-paired extension packages for the current configuration, adds tab open and close tools, writes annotation detail to a file instead of pasting it into the chat, and shows a checklist naming which part of a remote setup is misconfigured. It reuses the same browser-tabs plugin id as the upstream, so do not install both in the same profile. Requires Chrome or Edge 125+ and an unpacked MV3 extension loaded manually on the browser machine; the plugin does not install the extension. With tls: true, trust the generated ca.crt as a root certificate there.

Install

# from GitHub (first run asks for allowBuilds approval — follow the hint, retry)

dsh plugin --profile web add github:DeveloperYe/dsh-doyourweb-remote

Any plugin you install runs third-party code with your own permissions — it can read your files, use your credentials, and reach the network, and tool approvals don’t sandbox it. GitHub-sourced plugins also run build scripts at install time — pnpm blocks those until you allow them, so an install can stop with ERR_PNPM_GIT_DEP_PREPARE_NOT_ALLOWED or ERR_PNPM_IGNORED_BUILDS; dsh prints the exact key to add under allowBuilds in your profile’s pnpm-workspace.yaml, and the install works on the next run. Allowing a build is a trust decision: only install sources you trust, and pin a commit (github:owner/repo#sha).
