Read-only session work-path observer: fold turns into stage, run, duration and tok/s summaries, then expand parallel branches, tool results and vendor-visible reasoning.

Install

# from GitHub (first run asks for allowBuilds approval — follow the hint, retry)

dsh plugin --profile web add github:aa2246740/dsh-watcher

Any plugin you install runs third-party code with your own permissions — it can read your files, use your credentials, and reach the network, and tool approvals don’t sandbox it. GitHub-sourced plugins also run build scripts at install time — pnpm blocks those until you allow them, so an install can stop with ERR_PNPM_GIT_DEP_PREPARE_NOT_ALLOWED or ERR_PNPM_IGNORED_BUILDS; dsh prints the exact key to add under allowBuilds in your profile’s pnpm-workspace.yaml, and the install works on the next run. Allowing a build is a trust decision: only install sources you trust, and pin a commit (github:owner/repo#sha).

Watcher

A read-only plugin for DeepSeek Harness Web. Open the eye in the session header. A Session becomes a foldable work path: how many steps ran, how many tools fired, how long it took. Open a step for parallel branches, a tool result, or a reasoning row that stays folded until you ask.

It does not inject messages, invent hidden chain-of-thought, or replace the official Trajectory.

Switching from itemized to grouped: two package.json edits collapse to ×2

Three collapsed turns with phase counts, executions, and tok/s

Turn 3 expanded: the parallel step stays on its original Step

Step 2: glob and grep running as two parallel branches

Grouped: edit package.json ×2, still steps 5 and 6 when opened

Grouped view only stacks what it can prove. Two different bash calls stay apart. The model stage shows only provider-visible reasoning already written into the Session. If nothing was recorded, it says so.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add github:aa2246740/dsh-watcher

Or from a clone:

git clone https://github.com/aa2246740/dsh-watcher.git
dsh plugin --profile web add ./dsh-watcher

Then restart that DSH Host and reload the page. dsh plugin add writes the profile. It does not hot-load a running Host.

dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-watcher

DeepSeek Harness 0.1.2-rc.1. Node ^22.19.0 or >=24.

The interaction contract lives in DESIGN.md. MIT.

Build from source

Use a prepared DSH 0.1.2-rc.1 checkout. The plugin may live outside the Harness tree.

node scripts/link-harness-dependencies.mjs /path/to/harness
DSHX_HARNESS=/path/to/harness npm run build
npm test

Watcher waits for the Chat projection on cold sessions before mounting its panel.
