DeepSeek Harness Plugin

Tlyer233/dsh-vscode-review#dsh-review

Stars ★ 9 Category Git & Code Review Added 2026-08-28

Records every agent write, edit and shell `rm` into a shadow git repository, then reviews them hunk by hunk in VS Code — accept or revert each one. Needs the companion dsh-review-vscode extension; the panel only appears inside VS Code's webview.

Install

# from GitHub (first run asks for allowBuilds approval — follow the hint, retry)

dsh plugin --profile web add github:Tlyer233/dsh-vscode-review#path:/dsh-review

Any plugin you install runs third-party code with your own permissions — it can read your files, use your credentials, and reach the network, and tool approvals don’t sandbox it. GitHub-sourced plugins also run build scripts at install time — pnpm blocks those until you allow them, so an install can stop with ERR_PNPM_GIT_DEP_PREPARE_NOT_ALLOWED or ERR_PNPM_IGNORED_BUILDS; dsh prints the exact key to add under allowBuilds in your profile’s pnpm-workspace.yaml, and the install works on the next run. Allowing a build is a trust decision: only install sources you trust, and pin a commit (github:owner/repo#sha).

README

  • Host: shadow git + pending under $DSH_HOME/review/shadow (default ~/.dsh/review/shadow)
  • Client: VS Code iframe bridge (chips / Shift-drag / clipboard / workbench scope)
  • Dock: only when inVSCodeIframe && workbenchMatch; pending via VS Code watcher postMessage (no 500ms poll); mount reads once; no AC/RJ ALL

Storage

~/.dsh/review/shadow/
repo.git/ # one global bare shadow repo
  pending/<wbHash>.json # per-workbench pending list
  • Edits from a session go into that session's pending/<wbHash>.json (workbench = session.header.cwd)
  • filePath may lie outside the workbench folder
  • Git: bare repo.git; each snapshot only stores the touched file at files/<sha1(absPath)> (no full-tree add -A)

Install

Pack then add (copy, not a source-tree link):

npm pack ./dsh-review
dsh plugin --profile web add ./dsh-review-0.1.0.tgz --force

Or from the repo root: ./install.sh / .\install.ps1.

Remove

dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-review
