Category UI Enhancements Added 2026-11-01

Manage which models appear in the composer model menu. A settings page lists the models of every provider with a per-model switch, provider-level show/hide and filters by kind; switched-off models leave the menu while the model in use in the current session stays. Rows show the model kind, and chat models also show reasoning support and the adapter's effort levels, their context window and input modalities. Labels merge six sources in priority order (settings document, adapter, the relay's GET /models response, a built-in pi-ai / models.dev catalog, name inference, vendor corrections), with the source named on hover and dashed borders marking inferred values. A switch, on by default, lets relay routes whose models declare text-only input accept images in memory, without editing configuration files. The hidden list is stored in the profile patch and mirrored to $DSH_HOME.

Any plugin you install runs third-party code with your own permissions — it can read your files, use your credentials, and reach the network, and tool approvals don’t sandbox it. GitHub-sourced plugins also run build scripts at install time — pnpm blocks those until you allow them, so an install can stop with ERR_PNPM_GIT_DEP_PREPARE_NOT_ALLOWED or ERR_PNPM_IGNORED_BUILDS; dsh prints the exact key to add under allowBuilds in your profile’s pnpm-workspace.yaml, and the install works on the next run. Allowing a build is a trust decision: only install sources you trust, and pin a commit (github:owner/repo#sha).
