Four tools for reading a video as raw material rather than as something to watch: video_probe returns metadata and a reading plan without decoding frames; video_storyboard turns a window into one contact sheet plus a text index binding every cell to its timecode, cut count and frame time; video_zoom re-renders 1-9 cells from a short window at a larger scale; and video_read decodes only keyframes, OCRs each screen with the OCR engine Windows already ships, and returns an outline plus \[mm:ss] text -- the path for lectures, slide decks and screen recordings, where the words are the content. Cuts, dissolves and one-frame flashes are found in a single ffmpeg pass, cell numbers are burned in as bitmaps, and subtitle tracks are quoted on the cell their cue falls in. Needs ffmpeg, uses ffprobe when present, and has no other runtime dependencies. It is a wire-compatible reimplementation of SAOS-3624/dsh-video-storyboard: it registers the same video_probe / video_storyboard / video_zoom tool names, so the two cannot be enabled together.
Install
# from a prebuilt release tarball
dsh plugin --profile web add "https://github.com/Destinhue/dsh-video-vision/releases/download/v1.1.1/dsh-video-vision-1.1.1.tgz"
# from GitHub (first run asks for allowBuilds approval — follow the hint, retry)
dsh plugin --profile web add github:Destinhue/dsh-video-vision
Any plugin you install runs third-party code with your own permissions — it can read your files, use your credentials, and reach the network, and tool approvals don’t sandbox it. GitHub-sourced plugins also run build scripts at install time — pnpm blocks those until you allow them, so an install can stop with ERR_PNPM_GIT_DEP_PREPARE_NOT_ALLOWED or ERR_PNPM_IGNORED_BUILDS; dsh prints the exact key to add under allowBuilds in your profile’s pnpm-workspace.yaml, and the install works on the next run. Allowing a build is a trust decision: only install sources you trust, and pin a commit (github:owner/repo#sha).

SAOS-3624/dsh-video-storyboard★ 116
Turns a video (a local file, or a Bilibili/yt-dlp link) into one addressable storyboard grid — numbered cells with exact timestamps, per-cell transcript and an audio envelope on the same timeline — and video_zoom re-reads any window at higher resolution, so a text-only model can look at the video instead of reading a summary.
